How to Review and Accept Privacy Settings

Anthropic are updated their Privacy Policy, effective 28th September 2025, so that your chats now WILL be used for training the model by default. It applies to new and RESUMED chats; previous chats with no additional activity will not be used for model training. This guide shows how to turn model training OFF.

NB: Anthropic distinguish between commercial and consumer products. These changes only apply to CONSUMER products (Free, Pro, Max & when using Claude Code with these accounts). Commercial products - Claude for Work, Anthropic API, Claude Gov etc - are not affected by these changes.

Navigate to Claude and click on your initials bottom left. Click "Settings"

Click "Privacy"

Click "Review" at the bottom

Toggle the button to "Off" to stop Claude training on your chats and coding sessions.

Click "Accept"
