Click **New Project**.

Select your Project Template, click **US Survey Foot**.

Click **OK**.

Press F12, this will bring up your command pane. Search for the command **ProjectExplorer** and click on it.

Right click where it says **Unnamed** in your Project Explorer.

Click **Project Settings**.

Click **Coordinate System**.

Click **Change**.

Click **Coordinate System and Zone**.

Click **United States/NAD83**.

Click New York East 3101.

Click **Next**.

Ensure you have GEOID18 (Conus) selected as your Predefined geoid model and set your Geoid model quality from Unknown Quality to Survey Quality then click **Finish**.

Click **Change**.

You will now see the coordinate system you just selected under the Recently used coordinate system for future use. Click United States/NAD83, New York East 3101 from the Recently used coordinate system list.

Click **Finish**.
