How to Set Up a Parent Schoology Account

Just in case you're wondering, Schoology is pronounced [skoo-luh-jee](https://en-audio.howtopronounce.com/16067853835fc5996749b0f.mp3)

Navigate to[https://indianola.powerschool.com/public](https://indianola.powerschool.com/public/home.html)using a web browser, such as Chrome.

**Note: Due to limitations of the PowerSchool Mobile App, this initial process must be completed using a web browser.**

Choose your student and then click "Schoology Information"

Right-click on the Schoology Parent Access Code and choose "Copy" to copy the code.

Open a new browser tab, navigate to [https://www.schoology.com](https://www.powerschool.com/classroom/schoology-learning/)

Click "Register" to register for a new Schoology parent account. **Note: If you do not see the the "Register" button, you may use this link to directly access the[Schoology registration page](https://app.schoology.com/register.php).**

Click "Parent"

Right-click the "Access Code" field and choose "Paste" to paste in your Schoology access code, and then click "Continue."

Fill out the necessary information, check to agree to the Terms of Use, & click Register.

Click your profile / name in the top right and you should see your student's Schoology account listed there.

Select your student's account and you should see your student's Schoology course and information, if any exists. Note: This may be blank at the beginning of a school year.

To add additional student(s), click on your profile/name and then "Add Child"

Switch back to the PowerSchool SIS, choose your next student, select Schoology Information, highlight the Schoology Parent Access Code, right-click it, and choose "Copy".

Switch back to the Schoology tab, right-click and choose "Paste" to paste the code in, and then click "Use Code"

You should now see your additional student listed under your profile / name in the top right corner. Click on the profile / name to view their Schoology courses and information.
