How to Setup a Payment Policy in Offstreet

Navigate to <https://dashboard.offstreet.io/dashboard>

Click **Company Name** > **Payments.**

Click **Create Policy**.

In the **[[Name]]** field, enter a title for your payment policy.

Optionally, you can add a description to your policy.

When creating a payment policy, you’ll see an option to **“Charge payment processing fee to parkers.”** Toggling this **on** means that **parkers will cover the Stripe payment processing fee** when they pay through the Offstreet portal — instead of the company absorbing the cost. *For example, if the parking fee is $10 and the Stripe fee is $0.59, the parker would be charged $10.59 at checkout.* This setting helps ensure your company receives the full payment amount without Stripe fees being deducted.

Click **“Add Tax or Fee”** to optionally include additional charges — such as sales tax, service fees, or municipal fees — in your payment policy. Any taxes or fees added here will be **charged to the guest at checkout**, on top of the base permit price. *These are fully customizable and can reflect any local tax or company-specific fee structures you need to apply.*

From the dropdown, select the tax or fee you'd like to apply to the policy. \ \ Taxes and fees must be **pre-configured** in the **Taxes and Fees** section of the Payment Settings page before they can be added to a policy. Need to create a new tax or fee? [Follow this guide.](#)

Click Save.

The policy will now be available under the 'Payment Settings' dropdown when enabling payments in Registration Settings or Events.
