How to Submit a General Inquiry Request

The General Inquiry option should be used when a preferred venue is not available in the system or if you need guidance on selecting the most appropriate space. Our staff will gladly assist you in identifying the best venue for your event. All off-campus groups and individuals must submit a General Inquiry for venue reservations, regardless of location.

Go to [https://ucsdevents.emscloudservice.com](https://ucsdevents.test.emscloudservice.com/web/)

Click " Submit a General Inquiry"

Click the "Calendar Icon" or type in your desired date

Select your desired date

If looking for a recurring meeting or event, select "Recurrence". If you are looking for a singular date, skip ahead to step 7.

Complete your recurrence details on this window. Click "Apply Recurrence"

Enter the "Start Time" of your meeting or event.

Enter the "End Time" of your meeting or event.

Choose a "Setup Type"

Click "Attendance" and enter the expected number of attendees at your meeting or event

Click "Search"

Click "+" next to "General Inquiry"

Click "Next Step"

Complete the Form.

Click "Organization". Please provide the full name of your organization.

If you know the venue you'd like for your event. Please provide the building and room name specifically in this field. If you need help finding a venue, you can leave the field blank. Please note, many venues can be reserved by UC San Diego Departments and Student Organizations through T-RES and a "General Inquiry" is not required. Please provide a detailed description of your event. Submissions lacking specificity may result in delays in the review process.

Click "Add/Remove" and select all that apply

Click "Terms and Conditions"

Read the "Terms and Conditions" then Click "Close"

Check the box that you have read the "Terms and Conditions"

Click "Create Request"

Your request has been submitted. You will not receive an email confirmation at this step. Once reviewed, someone will contact you regarding your request. Requests may take up to 3-5 business days or more depending on the venue or complexity of the request.
