How to: Transfer Ownership of a Horse

This guide explains how to request a transfer of ownership in the EA system. This process is for the buyer to request the change of ownership, please note this request has a fee. For assistance, please contact help@equestrian.org.au

**Log in** to your Account: [https://equestrianaustralia.justgo.com](https://equestrianaustralia.justgo.com/Workbench.mvc/Show/5?t=profile)\ \ Click **Shop** in the top-left corner

**Navigate to Horse & Ownership**\ In the **Shop**, go to **Items from My State**. Here you will find **Horses & Ownership** for the State you are a member in (for this example, **Queensland**). Select the **tile** to continue.

**Select ownership transfer**\ In this section, you will see the following options: - **Ownership Transfer** - **Lease Application** - **Name Change** Select **Ownership Transfer** to continue.

**Add in Member initiating transfer:**\ Under **My Family** in your profile, set the **Quantity** to **1**. This opens the **Ownership Transfer** details screen.

**Enter transfer details**\ Fill in all required fields for the transfer. Please provide as much information as possible to confirm the **horse** and **owner identity**. - If the transfer involves **multiple owners**, list each name in the **New Owner** section, separated by a comma. - In the **Other Relevant Details** section, enter the **ownership percentages** and the **State** where each owner resides. Date of sale is handy too! - Please also include the **owner’s EA number** to speed up the process, as there may be multiple people with the same name. - **Upload** relevant/supporting documents needed for the transfer. Please note if you haven't provided sufficient documents, your state branch will contact you for these as they are mandatory. *Important:* Incomplete or unclear details may delay the approval of the transfer.

**Proceed to checkout**\ Select **Proceed to Checkout** to finalise your transfer. If you have more than one transfer to complete, select **Add & Continue** to add another transfer before checking out.

**Review and pay**\ Review your **order summary** carefully, then select **Pay with Card** to proceed with payment.

**Enter payment details**\ Enter your **card details**, then select **Pay** to complete your transaction.

**After payment**\ Once payment has been made, your **State Branch** will receive an alert to approve the ownership transfer. They may contact you if further information is required. You can download a **PDF receipt**, and a copy will also be emailed to you. After completing payment, select **Home** to return to your **Membership page**. *Tip:* Keep a copy of your receipt for your records.
