Tip! Did you know that you typically only need to create your RIDE Portal Account once? Whenever there's a change in your employment, name, email address, or similar details, you can simply update your profile to keep all your information current. To update your access, just share your username with your new school department, and the data manager will take care of everything needed.

After logging in to the portal with your current credentials navigate to <https://portal.ride.ri.gov/Core/Secure/Applications>

Click your username in the upper right corner.

Click "Edit Profile"

Click into the field you would like to update and make the change.

Type your new name.

Click "Submit"

If you would also like to update your username/log in name, click the "Username" field.

Click "Update Username"

Click the "Enter New Username" field then submit.

Tip! You can update any field on your profile page, including your email address. Keeping this information current is essential, as it’s how you’ll receive messages for password resets.
