How to Update a Client from a Assembly (formerly Copilot) Form Submission

This Zap will allow you to update a client from a Assembly (formerly Copilot) form submission. Steps 15-28 and 45-49 are optional, but should be used if you are looking to update a client's tags. Specific instructions can be found in the Assembly (formerly Copilot) Help Center article that links to these instructions.

Zapier

Navigate to your Zapier dashboard and click + Create to start creating your Zap.

Click the "Search…" field.

Type "Copilot"

Click "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Click "Form Response Completed"

Click "Continue"

Click "Choose" to select your connected Copilot account, or connect a new one.

Click "Continue"

Click "Choose value…"

Choose the form you want to use to trigger the client update.

Click "Continue"

Click "Test trigger"

Click "Continue"

Type "Copilot"

Click "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Click "Find a Custom Field Option"

Click "Continue"

Click "Choose value…"

Choose the custom field you're using to tag clients.

Click here.

Click the form field that you want to use to search for the tag.

Click "Continue"

Click "Test action"

Click here.

Click the "Search…" field.

Type "Copilot"

Click "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Click "Update Client".

Click "Continue"

Click "Choose value…"

Click "Custom"

Click "1. Form Response Completed in Copilot"

Click "Client ID"

Click here.

Click "1. Form Response Completed in Copilot"

Choose the form field you'd like to update for this client.

Click here.
