To log in to GET HELP, navigate to [provider.gethelp.com](http://provider.gethelp.com), enter your username and password, then click "Login".

When you've successfully logged in, you will be taken to your home "Dashboard". You can always return to this screen by clicking on "Dashboard" at the top of your screen or by clicking the GET HELP logo in the upper-left corner of the screen. \ On your dashboard, you will see the following:\ "Your Groups"\ These are groups of facilities that allow you to take various actions with the included facilities depending on the group’s type, which is indicated in parentheses following the group’s name. For example, a “(Referral Group)” will allow you to see real-time bed availability and submit referrals to the included facilities. \ "Your Facilities"\ Any facility or agency to which you are added as a user will appear in this section. Clicking on a facility will bring you to its profile page where you can manage various components of the facility, if applicable. From your Dashboard, click on the relevant group under "Your Groups". \ In this example, we will be using "St. Louis City CoC (Referral Group)".

This will take you to the group's home page, which lists all of the facilities that are included in that group. For a broader overview of the group page and how to create a shelter referral, please visit the tutorial linked below: [How to Create a Shelter Referral](https://scribehow.com/shared/How_to_Create_a_Shelter_Referral__pq7RmVeLRaKJL_EJ-aSD1w) To capture a turn-away, you will follow the same steps that you would if you were creating a referral to one of the shelters; however, you will submit this referral to the "facility" named "TURN-AWAY TRACKER | ST. LOUIS". To start, click on that facility.

This will bring you to the "Create Client Referral" page.\ In order to submit the referral, you must enter information into all of the required fields (any fields that are required will have an asterisk next to the field name) and select an available bed for which your client meets the eligibility criteria.\ You may also enter information into any of the non-required fields as needed. In the "Request Message" field, you may enter any additional information or requests that the other fields may not have captured.

After entering all of the required information, click on the consent checkbox toward the bottom of the page (highlighted by the pink circle below) and click "Create Referral".\ When you click "Create Referral", the system will automatically run a search to see if there is an existing client record in GET HELP based on the information you have entered (this is detailed in the next step). When you select an existing or new client record, you will be brought back to this screen. Make sure to click "Create Referral" again.
