1
Navigate to the **Dispatch** page.
Before using the optimizer, note that any crew member manually added to an event is considered **"Locked."** - **Locked members** are indicated by a **padlock icon** next to their name. - The optimizer tool **will not move or remove** locked crew members.
Running the Optimizer (Auto-Assign)
2
To automatically assign crew members to jobs, click the green **Assign Crew** button in the top right corner.
3
The system will calculate the most efficient schedule based on crew availability and job requirements.
4
**Goal**: The tool aims to achieve the lowest possible **Labor Cost**.
5
Review the assignments: As the operator, you can manually adjust these assignments afterward to account for human factors or specific preferences.
Clearing Auto-Assignments

7
Click "Clear Crew"
8

Manually assigned ("Locked") crew members will remain in place.
Reference: How Labor Cost is Calculated
The Optimizer prioritizes the lowest Labor Percentage. **Formula**: [[Labor Percentage = Labor Cost / Revenue]] - **Labor Cost**: The total hours of the event multiplied by the sum of the hourly rates of the assigned crew. - **Revenue**: The discounted subtotal (includes labor and all other charges). **Note on Billable Hours**: The tool only calculates costs based on Billable Hours (time charged to the customer). Non-billable time (e.g., training, morning huddles, gas stops) is excluded from the optimization calculation.
