How to add classes and groups

This guide provides information on how to add classes and groups to your school. We have three methods to add class data: 1) 'Quick Add Classes Form' the quickest and easiest way to add classes. 1) 'Full form details' to add one class/group at a time. 3) 'Upload Classes from CSV' which is used when you want to bulk add classes

Adding classes/groups with the 'Quick Add Classes Form' this is the easiest way to add classes.

Select Quick Add Classes from the drop-down menu

Paste in or type the names of the classes and groups - make sure you separate each class with a comma. Click "Create"

You can now see those classes have been added.

Adding Classes one at a time via the 'Full Details Form' method

Adding one class from the drop-down menu, select 'Full Details Form'.

Fill out any of the other optional class/group information you wish to include.

Click "Save Details"

The new class has now been added.

Upload Classes from CSV - this is the best option to bulk add classes and groups.

From the drop-down menu select 'Upload Classes from CSV'.

Download the template CSV file

Add any information in the CSV that you wish to be added for each class. Please note that for the upload to be successful, the process below must be followed: 1. The names field must contain data. 2. The Categories must match the same categories in your organisation's setup (or leave blank), e.g., **After School Club** must already exist.

If you need to add class and group categories select "Organisation" on Settings.

Click "New"

Enter the desired details for the class or group category (type) and Click "Save"

You will now see the new class category and can be added to your CSV or any manual class update.

Once you have added any class categories (or leave categories blank on CSV) you are ready to upload your saved CSV document.

Click "Upload a file or drag and drop"

You will now see your classes and groups information has been added.
