Only teachers and tutors can download assignment submissions. Tutors can only download the submissions for their tutorial group.

There are two ways to bulk download assignment submissions in Canvas. You can use the Assignment Download Tool to download a selection or you can download all via the Gradebook.

To use the Assignment Download Tool, navigate to the course homepage and click "Assignment download"

If this is your first use, click "Authorise". Receive an error? Check if you are logged in via: *canvas.maastrichtuniversity.nl*

Click the "Select Assignment" dropdown and select the assignment.

Click "Get Submission by Assignment"

This generates a list of the last 100 submissions.

Use the calendar to select a **past date and time**. All submissions from the selected date/time and later will be downloaded.

Optionally, click the "All sections" field to download all assignments per tutorial group.

Click "Get Submissions" to start the download.

When all submissions are gathered, a download will start. Mac users will asked where to save the download. While the zip file is downloading, you can continue to work on other Canvas pages or outside Canvas.

A message is shown if no submissions were found for the selected date/time and section. Go back to the previous page to start again.

Want to download more submissions? Go back to the previous page and start again.

A **ZIP** file is now downloaded to your computer. Double click to open it (Mac) or right-click and select "Extract All".
