How to clear the cache and cookies of the Canveo web application

This guide shows how to clear the cache and cookies of Canveo (for example, in case you have logged in as more than one user in the same browser window during testing)

This guide applies to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but the steps are very similar for any other web browser like Safari or Firefox (you'll find menu names that are very similar to the ones outlined below). The advantage of cleaning the cache/cookies surgically like this is that your cookies and logged-in states for any other web application won't be affected.

Click the ellipsis menu at the top right (three dots)

Find the "More Tools" menu item

Click the "Developer Tools" menu item

The following steps are Google Chrome- specific

We need to find the "Application" tab. If the view is not already on that tab, find it by clicking on the ">>" menu.

Click "Application"

The following step is Microsoft Edge-specific

In Microsoft Edge, the top menu bar looks slightly different - here, too, we need to find the "Application" tab. If the view is not already on that tab, find the "window" icon (when you hover on it with your mouse, the pop-up tooltip will read "Application", as shown below).

The remaining steps apply again to both browsers

Once the "Application" tab is open, we need to go to the "Storage" section of that tab. If the view is not already on that section, find it in the left menu bar and click it.

Click "Clear site data" to clear the cache and remove the cookies for just the Canveo web application

Now, all you need to do is refresh the Canveo page by clicking on the "Refresh " icon at the top left - you will be prompted to log in again

To finish off, you can now close the Developer Tools again
