Click "Copy and edit"

Now you are in the Feedback Fruits editor. This is where you can change the assignment settings.

Give your assignment a temporary name and instruction so that you can save it. You can always change this at a later stage.

After saving you will go back to Canvas. You can find your assignment under Assignments.

Click on the assignment and click "Edit assignment settings"

This is where you can change Canvas settings. For example, the amount of points and assignment group.

When you grade students in FeedbackFruits, these grades will sync to Canvas. Points cannot be zero, otherwise the grades won't sync. Want to use a pass or fail assignments? Set Points to 100.

Leave the box empty for "Load this tool in a new tab". It is more convenient for students if FeedbackFruits opens in Canvas.

You can leave most fields empty, because you can arrange this in FeedbackFruits.

You can set the final deadline as due date. In the FeedbackFruits assignment you can set multiple deadlines. Student see the deadlines on the course homepage in Canvas and they receive notifications about upcoming deadlines.

Click "Save" to save any changes you made to the assignment.

A column will be available in the Canvas Gradebook for your assignment. Important: you can also add a FeedbackFruits activity to your course via Modules, but this will not create an assignment and will not be visible in the Gradebook.

You can find step-by-step guides for each activity on the UM FeedbackFruits support page.
