How to create a Task

Tasks are faster and simpler to create and automatically assigned to the user creating it. Tasks are convenient when a user wishes to create numerous, say, things to do, quickly.

Click a library under "Assignments"

Click on the plus sign next to Assignments and click on "Task"

Check the box next to "Task Notification" if you want an email to be sent everytime the task is changed.

Check the box next to "Billable" if the task is billable

Enter details into the fields

Click on the dropbox next to "Type" to select the Task type

Alternately you can click on the plus sign to create another "Type"

Enter the new "Task Type" and click on Save. Check the box next to "Is Global" if you wish for this "Task Type" to be available across other libraries. Click on "Save"

Similarly as with "Type" you can select a "Sub Type" from the dropdown or create a "Sub Type" as shown earlier.

Here, for example, we select "Receptionist" from the dropdown.

Select your "Company Name" from the dropdown.

Select "Sites" from the dropdown.

Select the "Sites" for which this task is created.

Alternately you can create a new "Site" by clicking on the plus button.

Enter name for another "Site" and click on "Save". A new "Site" will be available in the dropdown next to "Sites"

Click on the dropdown to add "Associate Person(s)"

Select an "Associate Person".

Alternately you can click the plus button to Add a New Person to Associates.

If you clicked on the plus sign in the previous Step, a new window will appear. Enter information for a new person and click on "Save".

Automatically the Task gets Assigned to the person creating it. You can still add other users. In that case click on the plus sign to add assignees.

A new window will appear. Drag the user you wish to add from the window under "All Users" to "Selected Users"

Click "Save"

Select a Start Date by clicking on the calendar next to "Start Date"

Select a "Start Date" from the pop-up calendar.

Click on the icon next to "Due Date" to select a date by which this task should be completed.

Select an "Due Date" for the task from the pop-up calendar.

Select a priority of the task from the drop down next to "Priority"

The three priorities are Low, Medium and High. Select one.

Check the box next to "Resolution Notes Only" if you only wish you view the Resolution Notes.

Click on the plus sign next to "Notes" to add some notes.

Enter your note in the pop-up window.

Check the box next to External if you wish this note to be viewed by clients. Check the box next to "Resolution" if this is a resolution note.

Click "Save" to save the "Note".

Check the box next to "Resolution Notes Only" to only view the "Resolution Notes".

Click on the plus sign next to "Documents" to upload files and attach it to the task.

A pop-up window will appear giving you option to "Drag and drop files" or "Browse for files"

Click here.

After uploading the files, click on the box next to "Replicate the same properties to all uploaded documents" so you don't have to enter the same settings repeatedly for all the files uploaded.

Click "Save"

Click "Task Details" Tab

Click "Save & Close". A new "Task" has been created.
