How to create a new Asset

Adding Assets to a Study can be done manually or by one of the import methods. These steps go through the process of manually creating a new Asset.

If you are not operating on the desired Study for the new Asset, select the Study tab on the bottom left of the application to switch to the Study panel.

Left-click on the desired Study. This Study will be open and the application will switch to the Asset panel. As an alternative, you can right-click on the desired Study and select open which will have the same effect.

To get to the parent Asset for the new Asset, You may need to right-click on a collapsed Asset to view the desired parent Asset.

Selecting Expand All from the pop-up menu will expose all child Assets of the collapsed Asset.

Right-click on the desired parent Asset.

Select New on the pop-up menu.

Select Asset on the menu extension.

Select the text input filed of the Create Asset dialogue.

Input the name of the new Asset. The example uses New as the name.

Select the OK button on the bottom of the Create Asset dialogue.

The focus will be on the parent Asset therefore select your new Asset. Now you are ready to input the information relating to this Asset. The Asset probably will be inheriting data from the hierarchy above it.
