How to create default folders for new clients in Assembly (formerly Copilot) using Make

As of September 30, 2025, we’ve rebranded to Assembly. The steps below remain the same. When searching in Make, look for Assembly (formerly Copilot) and this logo.

Navigate to your Make account and create a new scenario.

Click the + button and search for Copilot, then click here.

Click "Add" to add a new webhook.

Click the "Webhook name" field.

Name your webhook in Make.

Click "Save"

Click "Copy address to clipboard"

Switch to your Copilot dashboard.

Click "Settings"

Click "New webhook"

Label your webhook. We recommend using the same name used for the webhook in Make.

Paste the webhook copied from Make here.

Click the "Events to send" field.

Click "Update" in the top-right.

Click "Confirm"

Navigate back to your Make scenario and click "OK" to finish setting up the webhook.

Add a new module and click "Copilot"

Map the ID from the Watch Create Clients step.

Enter the name of the top-level folder you want to create in the Path input.

To add more top-level folders, repeat the Create Folder step for each folder you want to create. The instructions below demonstrate how to create nested folders.

Map the ID from the List File Channels step.

Enter the name of the top-level folder, followed by a forward-slash, then enter the name of the nested folder. The example below will create a folder called 'Financial' inside of the 'Reports' folder.

Repeat the Create Folder step for as many nested folders as needed. It is important to create the top-level folders before creating any nested folders.
