How to create your first Route

Learn how to create your firts route with our Trip Planner. We will login to the website. This way your changes will be saved against your user account. We will create a Trip which acts as your folder for places and routes. Then we will switch on the Places category to show place names on the map and select two places for our trip. Selected points are stored to your Trip. Next up we will create a new Route inside the trip and then add our two places to the route.

Click on Login to bring up the login window.

Type in your login details and click "Login".

Click the white plus sign in the orange box to create a new Trip.

Give your Trip a descriptive name.

Click on "Places" category to show cities and towns.

Black dots will appear on the map and you click any of these to see the place name.

A small window will open when you clicked on a black dot, now click "+ Trip"

The default trip is always the one you are busy with but you can decide to add the point to another trip as well. Click "Add" to confirm.

Repeat the previous steps to add more points. Note how the place names are now populated in your Trip menu on the left.

Now we create a new Route. Click on the plus sign next to Routes.

A new route will appear. To add points click on the plus sign next to a point in your Trip.

As you click on points these will be entered into the Route, click a second one to start the calculation.

The Trip Planner will automatically calculate the time and distance once you have added the second point. The toggle on the top can switch the calculation method from fastest to shortest and back again. You are done creating your first Route!
