You must have delete permission on opportunities!

Click "Opportunities"

Click "List View"

Click the drop down next to the opportunity you want to delete.

Click "Delete"

Your system administrator may have added the "Delete" button to the opportunity layout. This means you can also delete from the opportunity detail as well.
