How to find or create folders and files in Google Drive when new files are uploaded for a client in Assembly (formerly Copilot)

This Zap will allow you to automate file syncing from Assembly (formerly Copilot) company file channels to Google Drive. This Zap will work best if you have folders for each client's email address that exactly match the client's email address in Assembly. You can also create new folders using the client's email address instead. This Zap has some steps that will error due to sample data, but if you follow this guide, you can test your Zap to see that it will run after publishing!

Navigate to your Zapier dashboard and click + Create to start creating your Zap.

Click the "Search…" field.

Type "Copilot"

Click "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Click "File Created"

Click "Continue"

Click "Choose" to select your connected Copilot account, or connect a new one.

Click "Continue"

Click "Test trigger"

Click "Continue"

Type "Copilot"

Click "Copilot"

Click the "*EventRequired" field.

Click "Find a File Channel"

Click "Continue"

Click here.

Click "Channel ID"

Click "Choose value…"

Select "individual".

Click "Continue"

Click "Test action"

*NOTE*: This step will error because the data coming from the trigger is a sample. Click "Skip Test" and test your Zap after publishing.

If you want to create a new folder instead of finding an existing folder, check this box. We recommend creating a placeholder folder in your Google Drive with the sample data email, [janedoe+new@copilot.com](mailto:janedoe+new@copilot.com) so that this step doesn't fail, but this is optional. This step may fail if you do not create the sample folder, but similar to other steps it will work once published.
