How to import glass panels from a DXF file

This guide walks you through how to import glass panels into your project from a DXF file. It covers both single-panel imports and how to bring in multiple panels from the same file.

Importing a single panel from a DXF

Click on **''New"** and select **''Job/Glass''** to create a new project. Then click **''Import''**

Or, if you're starting from an existing project, click on **''Design Glass''** then **''+Import''**

Select **"DXF Import"**

Click **''Select File''** or **drag and drop** the DXF file to upload it.

The import screen will show you a preview of the glass panel. Use the fields on the right to select an **Edge Finish** and configure the **Glass Makeup** details.

Click **"Import"**

If required, you can **double click** on the glass component to make further edits via the glass designer. Or click **''+ Import''** to import more glass panels from DXF file/s.

Importing multiple panels from a DXF

Got multiple panels in one DXF? You can import them all at once using the same method. Just keep in mind that the importer applies **the same edge finish and glass makeup to every panel**, so this approach works best when those details are consistent across all panels.
