How to integrate Genetec Security Center with Triton Cloud

Pre-requirements for the integration

1. Genetec Industrial IoT Plugin Installed and Licensed 2. Genetec Security Center Installed and Licensed 3. User Premissions to use the Industrial IoT Plugin 4. Port forwarding rule on the firewall that will point towards the IP Address of the server Industrial IoT plugin is running on over the HTTP Port it is setup with. Our external IP address is [[44.207.215.123 ]]

Industrial IoT Plugin Verification

Navigate to Genetec Security Center Server Admin.

Click "License"

Verify that Industrial IoT Licence/Certificate is present.

GENETEC CONFIG TOOL – Industrial IoT plugin configuration.

Log on Config Tool using your administrator credentials.

In the **Tasks** tab, in the **Administration** section, click on the **Plugins** icon.

In the plugins tab, click on the **green plus (+) button**

Select the **Plugin** option.

Select the **Industrial IoT** plugin type

The Database server field and database field should be filled in by default. You can rename the plugin in the **Basic Information** tab if needed

Click **Next**

Click Create, and finish creating the role

Create and configure an HTTP connector

Select the **Protocols** tab.

Select **HTTP Server**.

Click on the **green plus (+) button** at the bottom of the **HTTP connectors box** to add an HTTP connector.

In the **Name** text field, enter a name for the connector.

Copy the API Key.

Note: The **API key** cannot be recovered afterward. Mark down the **Port** and **API key** as we will need this information later.

Click "Add"

Click "Apply"

Configuration devices from device type.

Click on the **Device Types** tab.

Click "Genetec™ Config Tool"

Navigate to <https://drive.google.com/file/d/159RbKmio4oyjb57An7ReaqBXnzrkO-pu/view?usp=sharing> and download the file.

Open the file you just downloaded

Click Ok.

The Industrial IoT will generate “Warnings” as imported rules will need to be re-attached to events and alarms present in your system. First you need to define the required custom event and alarms. Access the **Rules** tab. Rules with a “Warning” condition will appear in yellow color.

Select each rule and assign the appropriate event and alarm. Once completed, the adjusted rule will turn white. When all rules have been adjusted, the “Warning” will disappear.

Create a device using the Device types

Select the **Devices** tab.

Click on the **green plus** **(+)** **button** at the bottom of the screen to add a device.

In the **Name** text field, enter a name for the device

The **Type** field select **HTTP Triton ULTRA Device Type.**

The **HTTP connector** field should appear. Select the connector that was previously created. In this example, it is "Triton Integration"

Add the Triton Sensor Device ID. You can find that in your Triton Cloud account.

Click **Add** and Click on the **Apply** button at the bottom right of the screen. The device is now created and can be selected under the instance of Industrial IoT on the left-hand side of the screen.

Integrate with Triton Cloud

Navigate to <https://app.tritonsensors.com/client/integration?current=genetec>

Add the IP of the server where the Industrial IoT plugin is running. Paste the API Key you copied earlier. And, type the port you had on the HTTP Server for the plugin instance earlier.

Note: You will need a Port forward rule on the firewall that will point towards the IP Address of the Industrial IoT plugin over the port for the HTTP server you selected earlier. If you want to port forward to specific IP address, our external IP address is [[44.207.215.123]]

Enable "Receive Heartbeat" if you want to receive heartbeat data of the device every 10 minutes.

Click "Save"

Click "Run Test"

Choose a device to test with. This device needs to be the same device you added in the plugin earlier.

Choose a trigger. If no trigger names appear, you need to select and save them from [https://app.tritonsensors.com/client/integration ](https://app.tritonsensors.com/client/integration)first.

Click "Run Test"

If the test ran successful, it should show "Event successfully created". Otherwise, troubleshoot based on the error message shown.
