How to set up a practitioner account with Quick Consults

In the [HotDoc Dashboard](https://www.hotdoc.com.au/dashboard#/) click **Quick Consults > Practitioner Setup**

Create a practitioner sidebar account by clicking **Send Invite.**

You'll be need to **select the practitioner/s** you wish to invite and enter their **nominated email address.**

**Confirm** you've entered the **correct email address/s** to register them for a **Practitioner Sidebar account.**

If the email address is already associated to a **HotDoc Account** you will not be able to invite this user. \ \ You can click the link to **Setup > User Accounts** to check if this email is already associated with an account with your clinic, otherwise the practitioner has used this email address at another clinic and you will be required to use a different email.

Their account status will be set as **Pending** and you'll have the option of **enabling them for services.**

You can **enable** them for one or all services by selecting the respective boxes, ensure you click **save**.

Note: If you enable these and press Save *before* the practitioner creates their account, and are live with Quick Consults, patients will still be able to request scripts/referrals for this practitioner on your booking page. Once the practitioner has created their account, they will appear in the Sidebar.

Once invited they'll receive an email inviting them to **Get Started now** to set up their HotDoc Account.

If your practitioner has **opted out of marketing communications** they will see a more pared down version of this invite

This link will take them to the **create account password** page to finish setting up their account.

Once completed, you'll see your **practitioner's account status** is now **Active** to let you know they have **completed account setup.**

If your practitioner has **lost or deleted their invite email,** you will have the option of clicking **Resend invite** to any **pending practitioners**. This will appear if a practitioner **hasn't accepted within 24 hours.**
