How to take screenshots with the Developer Console open to provide information about bugs

This guide shows how to open the developer tools and provide a screenshot of the Console, in order to provide as much information as possible to Canveo about any bugs that may have occurred while using the system.

This guide applies to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but the steps are very similar for any other web browser like Safari or Firefox (you'll find menu names that are very similar to the ones outlined below).

Click the ellipsis menu at the top right (three dots)

Find the "More Tools" menu item

Click the "Developer Tools" menu item

We need to find the "Console" tab. If the view is not already on that tab, find it by clicking on the ">>" menu.

Right after the the error you contacted us about occurred (if needed, redo the actions that led to the error), take a screenshot with the Console open as shown. This will help us fix the issue as quickly as possible.

Note - In Microsoft Edge, the top menu bar looks slightly different - here, too, we need to find the "Console" tab. If the view is not already on that tab, find the "code" icon (when you hover on it with your mouse, the pop-up tooltip will read "Console", as shown below).

To finish off, you can now close the Developer Tools again
