Import and Upload Custom Locations into Spotzi

Learn how to import external datasets to create custom map visualizations for better data analysis. This guide simplifies the process of plotting your locations on a map using Spotzi's Upload Data tool.

Starting Your Upload

Click here.

Click "Easily upload customer lists, campaign results, or any other data to visualize and analyze on your map."

Click "Add"

Click "Choose File"

Select the file you would like to upload. Your file must be in CSV format, and must contain one of two types of location data: 1. Exact coordinates. 2. Address data.

Uploading Locations Using Coordinate Data

To upload coordinates directly, ensure that your dataset has a latitude column and a longitude column. These must have the column headers "latitude" and "longitude", "lat" and "lon" or "y" and "x". You may also include any additional columns which you would like to view or use in the platform, such as a location name column.

Uploading Locations Using Address Data

If location coordinates are unavailable, Spotzi's Upload Data tool can also use address data segments to determine the exact coordinates of your locations. For optimal geocoding, please ensure that each address feature is listed in its own column, and that a separate country column is included. You may also include any additional columns which you would like to view or use in the platform, such as a location name column.

Finish Uploading Your Locations

Click "Start Import"

Select the country where your locations are located from the dropdown.

Click "Create dashboard"

Click "Map"
