Import your wallet's Secret Key into your gateway's Local Dashboard

A gateway on the Crankk network gets rewarded in CRKK tokens for contributing to the network. These rewards will be automatically transferred to a wallet in custody of the gateway owner. The wallet should be linked to the gateway to achieve this. This is done by obtaining the wallet's Secret Key, which should then be imported into the Gateway's Local Dashboard.

Navigate to the "Wallet" section of your **User Dashboard:** 1. *Open a new tab in your browser and navigate to [https://crankk.io ;](https://crankk.io)* 2. *login to your **User Dashboard**;* 3. *navigate to the wallets section;* 4. *unlock your wallets if asked.*

✔️ All future rewards allocated to your gateway for participating in the Crankk network will be transferred to and accumulated in this wallet address. ⛔ THIS CAN **NOT** BE YOUR PRIMARY WALLET.

Enter your wallet password and click 'Reveal'.

Click "Copy" to copy the Secret Key. *Please use the 'Copy' button in stead of manually copy-pasting the Secret Key to avoid mistakes.*

Navigate back to the **Local Dashboard** of your gateway, select 'Wallet' from the left hand menu and **paste** your Secret Key into the box. ⚠️ Notice the wallet icon in the left hand menu is colored red, indicating no wallet has been imported yet. *Learn how to login to your gateway's Local Dashboard [here](https://crankk.wiki/docs/logging-into-your-gateways-local-dashboard/)*

Click 'Save' to import the Secret Key into your gateway.

A message box saying 'Secret key successfully saved!' will pop up in the bottom right corner.

Your Wallet Information now shows your wallet's public address and the CRKK and KDA funds it holds on the Kadena Blockchain. ✔ Your gateway is now aware of your wallet. *In this case: the wallet holds funds on both Kadena chain 0 and chain 19.*

⚠️ The wallet you imported in the Local Dashboard: - must be the wallet to which your gateway was assigned to; - can never be your Primary Wallet; - must hold enough KDA balance for the gateway to operate properly. 1 KDA should be enough to last your gateway for months.

Navigate back to the gateways section in your User Dashboard and notice the STATUS of your gateway is now showing as **active**.
