From the start page, search for the student.

Add the student.

Select the student.

To add an Incident, Click "Behavior"

Click "Incidents" to go to the incident list for the student.

Click "Create Detailed Incident"

Click this dropdown to select Truancy.

Click this button to select the date widget.

Navigate to and select the date or type in the date in the box.

Enter a time during school hours for truancy events.

Click this dropdown to select a timeframe during school hours. Truancy events must be "During School Hours".

Enter an appropriate title for the truancy incident. Do not include student names in the title.

Every incident must also have a location. Truancy incidents occur in the "classroom" as the location.

Review the information in the upper panel of the page before proceeding on.

Enter any descriptions necessary for the description box. For discipline events enter full comments regarding the student's actions or stated comments. In the location comment box, enter any additional comments about the location.

Click the 'plus' sign by participants to add each participant.

Type in the participant's name to search for the each individual.

It may be necessary to uncheck this box to search for active and in-active participants.

Click "Search"

Select the individual for the incident.

Click this 'plus' sign to add attributes for the participant.

Select appropriate attributes for the individual.

Click here to change the school if needed.

Enter any additional attributes comments as needed.

Click this dropdown to select the participant's role. Every truancy incident must have an offender assigned to someone.

Click "Add Participant Attributes" to add the individual to the roles box for the incident.

Next step is to add the incident elements such as Actions and Behaviors. Click this link to add the element.

Click "Add Behavior"

Click this dropdown to select the appropriate '**151 Truant^**' behavior.

Click the "Behavior Code Comment" field to add any comments.

Type "truant"

Click this checkbox to make the behavior the primary event. Every incident must have at least one primary behavior.

Click on the "Behavior" and drag and drop the element onto the student's name in the offender box.

When correctly added to the student offender, the behavior should appear like this.

Click this link to add the action.

Click "Add Action"

Click this dropdown to select the Intervention plan action code.

Click this dropdown to select the appropriate reason or update for the plan.

Click the "Action Code Comment" field to add any comments.

Type "Intervention plan for truancy" or other comments as appropriate.

Click the "Begin Date" field and select the date of the intervention plan.

Click the "Action Taken Detail" field.

Type any action details as needed.

Click the "Actual Resolution Date" field.

Enter the Action resolution date.

Click the duration code dropdown to select a duration length.

Duration Codes for Truancy are: "**^Truancy - Remainder of School Year^**"

Also select the next dropdown to enter the duration subcode: "**^Truancy - Remainder of School Year^**"

Click the "Add Action" button to finalize the action.

Click the "Action" and drag-and-drop it onto the behavior listed under the student offender.

It should look like this when correctly added to the behavior.

Click "Update Action" to close this screen with any updated information.

Click "Submit Incident" to create the incident for the student.
