Open the browser on your Android device.

Navigate to <https://github.com/PhenoApps/Field-Book/releases/>

You should see the latest update displayed at the top of the page.

Scroll down and click on the [[.apk]] file associated with the latest version to download.

You will get a pop-up asking to download the file. Click [[Download anyway]]

Once the file has successfully downloaded, you should see a pop-up asking if you want like to open the file. Click [[Open]].

Another pop-up will appear asking to install the app. Click [[Install]].

A status bar will appear.

Once installation completes you will receive a message in the window saying "App installed". Click [[Open]] to open the app.

On this page, you will need to grant the necessary permissions and define a folder to store data you have collected. Tap the [[>]] next to Permissions.

Tap [[While using the app]] to allow the app to take pictures and video (for image-based traits).

Tap [[While using the app]] to allow the app to track your location (for plot navigation).

Tap [[While using the app]] to allow the app record audio (for audio traits).

You will return to this screen once you have granted the required permissions. Tap the [[>]] next to Define Storage to assign a folder for storing data.

Select the folder you want to use.

Tap [[USE THIS FOLDER]] to assign.

Grant Field Book access to the folder by tapping [[ALLOW]]

Tap the [[>]] to go to the next page.

On this page you have the option to load sample data and the tutorial. Tap on the boxes to toggle on/off.

Once you have selected your options, tap [[DONE]].

You have successfully installed the app.
