Installing and enabling ScreenView app for Earthworks on a TD5xx

Confirm you have internet connection on the device before proceeding by swiping down from the top of the display.

Earthworks Version 2.24.x or older the Screen View app will be installed using a USB containing the APK or downloading the program from Trimble App central. On Earthworks V2.25.x or newer, the screen view app will be downloaded from the Earthworks MC installer. If you are upgrading a system that is already using the screen view app you will need to uninstall the old app in app central and download the new one in MC installer.

Starting at the home screen. Swipe up from the center of the screen to view all available apps.

Tap on App Central or you can search for it.

Tap on the three lines (hamburger menu) in the upper left hand corner.

Tap on Browse Apps.

Tap on the Trimble tab.

Tap on ScreenView for TD...

Tap INSTALL.

Wait! Don't touch the screen while it downloads. Wait until OPEN button appears.

Tap the OPEN button.

Earthworks V2.25.x or Newer the please follow the following steps for loading and enabling the screen view app on TD5xx displays.

After updating to V2.25.x, the Screen View app will not work and will show the following warning when opened.

Starting at the home screen. Swipe up from the center of the screen to view all available apps.

Tap on App Central or you can search for it.

Tap on the three lines (hamburger menu) in the upper left hand corner.

Tap on My apps

Tap on Installed to see the apps that are installed on the TD5xx

Find the current Screen View app and tap on it.

Tap on uninstall no matter what version is listed below.

Close the App central app. then swipe up from the middle of the screen and to show available apps.

Open MC Installer

Wait for the button to change from REGISTER to ALLOW CONTROL. This might take a few seconds. Once the button says ALLOW CONTROL. Tap on ALLOW CONTROL.

Tap on Remote.it Control.

Tap on the slider to allow control.

When the message box appears tap on ALLOW.

Confirm the slider is green. Then tap on go back arrow to return to Accessibility.

Tap on the go back arrow to return to the ScreenView app.

Display over other apps permissions leave this as NOT ALLOWED

Tap on Settings.

Tap on the slider for the Keyboard.

Tap on the blue first button to REGISTER KEYBOARD.

Tap on the slider for Remote.It Keyboard.

Tap OK on the message box.

Tap on the back arrow twice to bring us back to the ScreenView app.

Tap on the blue second button to SELECT KEYBOARD.

Tap on Remote.it Keyboard.

Tap on DONE.

Tap on Device.

You are all done. Swipe up from the bottom. Tap on the square and close the Screen View app.
