Institution Admin: Posting School Announcements

This guide provides a step-by-step process for institution administrators to effectively create, manage, and customize school announcements. Creating an Announcement

From the Institution Admin home screen, click the **Control Panel (Gears icon)**.

Select **Announcements**

Click **Create** to add a new announcement.

Select from the list of currently assigned schools where the announcement will appear. Select which school(s) can view the announcement.

Use the **Double Arrow** buttons to move a school between the *Available* and *Selected* windows.

Enter a subject for the announcement.

Enter the announcement information into the *Content* field. Use the available text editor to apply any desired formatting.

Select the **Sticky** checkbox to make the announcement stay at the top of the list.

Click the **Calendar** icon to set dates for the announcement to display.

Select the **Single Day** checkbox to make an announcement visible for only one day.

Tip! Do not enter any dates for the announcement to display indefinitely.

Use the **Choose Files** and **Attach File** buttons to select and upload external documents to the announement.

Click **Create** when finished.

The new announcement will appear in the *Manage School Announcements* screen.

View Announcement Details

In the *Subject* column, click the **Plus Sign (+)** to display a list of schools that can view the announcement.

In the Subject column, click the **Paper Clip** icon to toggle a clickable list of files that belong to the announcement.

In the *Message Content* column, click an attachment link to view it.

Edit or Delete an Announcement

Click the **Pencil** icon to edit the announcement.

Click the **Trash Can** icon to delete the announcement.
