Intelligent Dictation

The following series of images in this Scribe include a screenshot of a PC desktop with the Cephable Panel (small window on the right side of the screen with toggles for microphone & camera controls, a summary of app controls for the relevant app, and a menu of global & device controls). Microsoft Word & Microsoft Edge are open in various examples to showcase controls. Context for each app, button press, and click will be provided in each step.

Start by turning on your Microphone in the Cephable Panel.

Your microphone starts in "Listening" mode, but you can use your voice to switch between modes or you can press the buttons in the panel too. Click "Dictation"

Here, we used the global control and used our voice to say "dictate" to switch into full dictation mode.

You'll see your speech processed in the panel before being pasted into your document or whatever app/program you are using. Tip - Always make sure your cursor is clicked into the app or program where you want your text pasted.

Now your text with automatic capitalization & punctuation is pasted inside your document.

Use the global control, and say "Stop Dictation" to return to "Listening Mode" where you can use voice controls to edit your document with your available app controls listed inside the Cephable Panel.

You can also try using Intelligent Dictation in other apps too. In this example with Outlook, remember to use your global control "dictate" to turn on full dictation mode and click into the app or program where you want your new text.

To edit your text using the available commands in Outlook, Click "Commands" in the panel to stop dictation mode. Or use the global control, and say "Stop Dictation".

If you ever want to switch back to Cephable's traditional dictation mode without automatic capitalization or punctuation - Click "Settings" in the panel to return to the main window to configure your preferences.
