Inviting Team Members to your project in eComm

This guide offers a straightforward approach to inviting team members to your project in eComm, ensuring that you can efficiently collaborate with the right people. It covers essential steps for adding new users or selecting from existing ones, managing roles, and even creating new companies if needed. Additionally, it provides tips for tracking pending invitations, making it easier to ensure that all team members are on board. Please note. All users are able to add contacts to their own company and the roles that their company is already assigned in the project. To use the more advanced features like adding users from different companies you must have Managed Contacts turned on for you in the project you are working in. If you need this turned on please contact your system administrator for help.

Navigate to the eComm portal that you are working in and the project that you need to add a user to.

Click "Project Members"

Click "Contacts"

Click "+ Invite"

Click the "Search by Email Address, Name, or Company" field and type in a Company Name, the persons name, or their email address.

eComm will default their role to the same role that others in their company are in for the project. If there is no one from their company in the project eComm will suggest the role that they have been assigned in the past.

You can select a person to copy settings from who is in the same role as them.

You can add multiple users at one time. Simply start searching for a new user after you have entered the information for the first one you need to add.

If a user has never been part of eComm you will have to add them to a company. Click the "Select Company" drop down and search for their company. If none exists you will have to create a company in a popup window.

Type the company name in the popup and click the "Create" button.

When you have found all the contacts you want to add to the project click the "Add Contacts to Project" button at the bottom of the page.

If you are creating any new contacts you will get a popup confirmation that a new contact is being created and added to the project. To move forward you must answer "Yes".

At this point the users you have added to the project will get an email notification telling them that they were added to your project. If they have never signed in before they will be prompted to complete their account setup. You can see who has not accepted any invitations by clicking the "Pending Invitations" button.

It will open a page with a list of all pending eComm invites for the project. You can resend an invitation here if someone has lost the email or to give them a gentle nudge.
