1
Navigate to Items > Manage Items.
2
Under "Add New Item", locate the Item Type Dropdown.
3
For silent auction items that will be bid on via the mobile bidding site, use item type "silent". This will allow you to add a starting bid, bid increment, buy now price, and Fair Market Value.
4
For items that will be bid on live with an auctioneer, select the "live" item type. This will allow you to enter just the winning bidder's information via the Butler. You can still add a Fair Market Value if you are choosing to show a preview of this item on your Landing Page or in your auction. Live item types cannot be bid on by online bidders.
5
For donation opportunities (whether it be a live fund-a-need/paddle raise, or accepting online donations), select the item type "donation". You are able to add denomination amounts that will appear in the Butler for fast data entry. The denominations will also show as buttons for donation amounts if the item is going to be used for online donations.
6
For the donation item type, a new dropdown appears for Projected Display Settings. You can create an interactive display here for use on your Landing Page and at your live event.
7
You can pick from an animation theme, display options, setting a donation goal, and other settings.
8
For any items that are going to be sold at a set price, use a "quantity" item type. The most common examples of items sold with this item type in ClickBid are raffle tickets and game buy ins. You can set your price per quantity, and also set a limit on availability.
9
Blind items will be interacted with similar to silent items, but the bidding/ bid amounts are kept hidden. The winner of this item is determined when the item closes, and goes to the highest winning bidder.
10
A credit item is used for adding a dollar amount to a bidder's account, that will go towards their total paid for items/donations.
11
Info items are set to be added via the Butler only, and cannot be in any other status than invisible. These items are used to add information to a bidder's receipt only.
12
For each type of item, you have the option to make a custom description. You can utilize our Auction GPT feature to assist with an AI description of your item!
13
If there are any specific exceptions for your item, they can be listed for display here. Some examples would be black out dates on a vacation package, or a pick up location without shipping. Similarly to Item Description, you can utilize Auction GPT to write this area for you.
14
You can add some back end specific notes (that are not visible to the bidder) in this area, like the table the item can be found at during your event, and solicitor information.
15
Donor information for each item type can be added per item, including the donors name, address, phone number, and email.
16
You can add up to 10 images per item. Be sure your image types are either PNG or JPEG. To re-arrange your images, you can click and drag/drop them in the order you need!
17
You can add internal tags to items for organizational purposes in this tab, such as "gift card".
