How to launch Norsk Studio from the command line

Prerequisites

You will need your Norsk Studio JSON license key (please see [instructions](https://scribehow.com/shared/Sign_up_for_a_Norsk_trial_license__4HH4kTWdQveWXaOXw7v8lg?referrer=documents)).

Windows users will need to ensure [WSL2](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install) is installed and using a standard distribution such as Ubuntu.

Make sure you have Docker and Docker Compose installed on your machine and ensure the installation is upgraded to the latest release. You can check out installation details [here](https://docs.docker.com/get-started/get-docker/).

Installing Norsk-Studio

Now, to install Norsk Studio, run the following install command: `bash <(curl -L https://norsk.video/studio/install)`and press enter when prompted

Tip: You will now need your Norsk Studio JSON license key

Enter the path to your license file.

Wait for the install to complete.

Once complete, read the instructions that will be displayed that giv instructions on useful details like how to send an SRT source to Norsk Studio.

Launching Norsk Studio

To launch Norsk Studio, first change to the Norsk Studio directory by typing [[cd norsk-studio]], and then run `./up.sh`

After a few moments, Norsk Studio will be up and running.

To access Norsk Studio open the URL displayed: [[http://127.0.0.1:8000]].

Shutting down Norsk Studio

From within the Norsk Studio directory type [[./down.sh]] and that will shut down Norsk Studio.

Tip: To completely remove Norsk Studio from your machine, simply delete the [[norsk-studio]] folder. (Be sure to not delete your JSON license key.)

Startup options

[[./up.sh]] can be configured at execution with some advanced features. These include network options, options to offer a TURN server, enabling various hardware acceleration options and managing file and logging options.
