Loan of a Professional Player

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for loaning professional players between clubs. It covers how to search for a player, initiate a loan request, and complete the loan process. Following these It highlights the importance of verifying player information and loans transfers between clubs.

In [MyComet](https://comet.irishfa.com/mycomet), click on **My Club**

Select the **Players** tab

Click on **New registration**

Enter the mandatory search information for the player you want to transfer, which are Family Name & Date of Birth

Then click on **Search**

If the player appears in the **Select Person** section, and has an Active Registration listed, click on their name followed by **Next** to request a loan.

Choose **Loan** from the Registration Type dropdown list

Choose **Professional** from the Level dropdown list

Choose **Football** from the Discipline dropdown list

Click on **Save**

If there is a loan fee (fixed, conditional, or sell on) agreed between the player's previous club and their new club, select **Yes** and continue following the steps. If there is no loan fee agreed, select **No** and proceed to step 26.

Select **Yes - I will upload transfer agreement and enter details**

Then click on **Save**

Click on the **Registration Form** icon

Click on **Choose** and navigate to the **Temporary Transfer (Loan) of Standard Professional Contract** file on your device

Click on **Next** to save the registration status as ENTERED

Click on **Enter transfer details**

Click on the **Transfer Agreement** icon.

A **Loan Agreement** is a document that explains the details of a player’s loan move from one club to another, including loan fee (fixed, conditional, or sell on) and how those payments will be made. Alongside this, the[**PS02 Temporary Transfer (Loan) of SPC**](https://www.irishfa.com/media/62233/temporary-transfer-loan-of-spc-ps02.pdf) is the official Irish FA form that both clubs need to fill out and sign. It’s the paperwork that makes the loan official and allows the player to be properly loaned from one club to the other. Please note, only PDF files can be uploaded in this section.

Click on **Choose** and navigate to the **Loan Agreement** file on your device

Then click on **Add Transfer Fee**

Choose the appropriate transfer fee from the **Type** dropdown list

Enter the amount of the loan fee

Click on **Save**

Then click on **Add Instalment**

Enter the details of the instalment(s)

Then click on **Save**

Repeat steps 21 - 23 if you are adding multiple instalments

Click on the **Details** tab

Click on **Add Contract**

Enter the mandatory contract information

Then click on **Save**

Click on the **Contract** tab

In the **Documents** section, click on the **Contract** icon

The [**PS02 Temporary Transfer (Loan) of SPC**](https://www.irishfa.com/media/62233/temporary-transfer-loan-of-spc-ps02.pdf) is the official Irish FA form that both clubs need to fill out and sign. It’s the paperwork that makes the loan official and allows the player to be properly loaned from one club to the other.

Click on **Choose** and navigate to the **Loan of a Professional Player Form (R4)** file on your device

Click on the current status icon and select **SUBMIT**

Click on the **tick** icon to change the contract status to **SUBMITTED**

Click on the **Details** tab

Click on the registration status icon and select **SUBMIT**

Click on the registration status icon and select **CONFIRM**

Click on the **tick** icon to change the registration status.

Due to the player already having a **CONFIRMED** status registration at another club, your registration will change to **SUBMITTED**. The IrishFA will then review the documentation and will **TERMINATE** the player's Contract and Registration at their previous club, and will **CONFIRM** the new Contract and Registration if everything is in order. If not, the contract will be returned to the club for resubmission.

Enter the details of the instalment(s)

Then click on **Save**
