Logging into Swank and Requesting New Titles

This walkthrough shows faculty and staff how to sign into Swank, the district's approved streaming platform.

Navigate to any Google page that has the "Waffle" menu in the top right corner. This can be the Google homepage, Gmail, etc.

Click the Waffle Menu to open it

Look for "Swank" in the list of applications and click it. You will have to scroll to the bottom of the list of applications.

You should be signed in automatically via Google. If not, select your account from the list and sign in.

At this point you have access to Swank and all the titles we currently have in our collection. Search for the title you want to show in class(1) If it is not available, you will see a "Request" button on the far right side of the row for that particular movie. When you request a title it will get forwarded to the technology department for approval and then to Swank to grant access.

When requesting titles, please include as much information about how you plan to use the movie for instruction or curriculum as we have a finite amount of titles we can request on an annual basis.

Additionally, some titles may show this verbiage next to the request button. This indicates the title is not yet available digitally, and there is a $150 fee to request the title. There is also a much longer turnaround time for access. These requests will be denied unless pre-approval is received from the technology department.
