Look up Payment Terms and Payment Type for a Vendor/Payee in SAP - SAP Transaction MK03

This guide explains how to locate payment terms and the payment type for a vendor/payee in SAP using SAP transaction MK03.

Please keep the following in mind when reviewing Payment Terms: - Vendors may negotiate specific payment terms during contract negotiations with supply chain. - Net 0 payment terms are still applicable in certain situations such as honorariums, for example. - Vendors who have already been set up by Corporate Accounts Payable in SAP are Net 30 payment terms. - Vendors registered through PaymentWorks using ACH are Net 30 payment terms. - Vendors registered through PaymentWorks using a paper Check are Net 45 payment terms. If you need to know a specific vendor's payment terms, please use the below instructions to look up the information in SAP.

In SAP, from the User Menu, open the **Purchasing** folder.

Select **MK03 - Display Vendor**.

Another way to search is by using the **Command** field at the top of the screen. Type **MK03** and select **Enter**.

If you have the Supplier Number

On the **Display Supplier: Initial Screen**, enter the **Supplier** number. Select **Enter** and proceed to **Step 9** of this guide to continue.

If you do not have the Supplier Number

If you do not know the **Supplier** number, you can select the drop-down to search by the Supplier's name.

In the Restrict Value Range window, ensure you're on the **2: Vendors - All Types by Account Group** tab.

Enter your supplier name in the **Name** field in all caps and using asterisks to search. Select **Enter**.

Please keep the following in mind when searching: - If the vendor has a **INV1** number, use the **INV1** number. - If there is no **INV1** number, use the **VEN1** number. You may see your vendor listed without types of vendor numbers. Please disregard as those numbers do not contain information on payment terms and method.

Select the desired vendor number by double clicking anywhere on the name. Ensure you select from the appropriate **Group**. For this example, there is no **INV1** number so I used the **VEN1** number. Select **Enter**.

On the **Display Supplier: Initial Screen**, the Supplier number appears in the field along with the name of the supplier. In the **General data** section, select **Address** and **Control**. Select **Enter**.

On the **Display Organization** screen, in the **Display in BP** **Role,** select **Supplier FI** from the drop-down.

Select **Company Code**.

Ensure your Company Code is in the **Company Code** field. If the field is blank, enter your company code in the field. For my example, it's **Company 0010**. Select the **Vendor: Payment Transactions** tab.

The **Vendor Payment Transaction** tab displays the **Payment Data** and the **Automatic Payment Transactions** sections. In the **Payment Data** section, the payment terms are listed. For this example, the vendor is a net 30 days payment vendor.

In the **Automatic Payment Transactions** section, the **Payment Method** is displayed. Duke uses three payment methods to issue payments to vendors via Corporate Accounts Payable. 1. **Check Payment -** a **C** will be listed in the field. - Please note: you may see an **I** or **H** for onsite check. 2. **GHX ACH -** a **2** or **3** will be listed. 3. **PaymentWorks ACH -** You will see a **U, R,** or **T** listed in the field. Duke uses other payment methods for other payments issued via SAP. These are not relevant when reviewing vendor payments. For this example, the payment method is **C** for Check payment. Select the drop-down to view all categories.

Use the scroll bar on the right hand side to view additional payment methods.
