MDI Sliding Scale - New Treatment Plan

This guide provides instructions for effectively reviewing your new MDI Sliding Scale treatment plan in the Diary App, ensuring you understand how to review, accept, or reject recommendations from your healthcare provider.

When you receive a new treatment plan from your provider, you will see a request to review your new plan in the Diary App. To review the plan immediately, click "Yes." To review it later, click "Later."

To review the details of your MDI sliding scale treatment plan, begin at the top of the screen. Use the scroll bar on the right to scroll down: 1. Date of the new plan. 2. Basal Plan includes all long acting insulin doses. 3. Bolus plan includes all short / rapid acting insulin doses in a plan by time of day, from morning, afternoon, evening, to night.

To accept your treatment plan: 1. Click the white "Accept" button. 2. To approve your plan, click "Yes." 1. If you do not want to approve, click "Cancel" to return to the treatment plan. 3. Once you have accepted and approved, you will receive a "Recommendation Accepted" notice.

To reject your treatment plan: 1. Click the white "Reject" button. 2. To confirm your rejection, click "Reject." 1. If you do not want to reject, click "Cancel" to return to the treatment plan. 3. Once you have rejected and confirmed, you will receive a "Recommendation Rejected" notice and return to the Plan History screen.

All plans, current and past, can be located by using the steps below: 1. Click the "Plan" icon. 2. Click the white "Recommendations History" button. 3. Under History: 1. Last Recommendation - the last recommendation to be sent to you by your provider. 2. Past Recommendations - all other recommendations sent by your provider in descending chronological order.
