Navigate to [https://www.google.com](https://www.google.com/?zx=1760215091897&no_sw_cr=1)

Click this link.

Click "Manage your Google Account"

Click "Security"

Click "On since Nov 9, 2021"

Click "Add authenticator app"

Click "Set up authenticator"

Click here.

**Download Google Authenticator** [[iPhone: ]][App Store link](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-authenticator/id388497605) [[Android: ]][Google Play link](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2)\ \ On your phone you need to open the "Google Authenticator" app. You'll download that from your phone's app store. Make sure you don't download any sponsored results, but only the official Google authenticator app linked above, with the logo as seen on this step.

**Scan the QR Code** **Open the Google Authenticator app** **Tap “+” then “Scan a QR Code”** **Point your phone camera at your screen** **You’ll now see a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds**

Now back over to your computer: \ \ Click the "Enter Code" field.

Click this icon.

Click "Get backup codes"

Click "7030 0232"

Finally, on your screen, you should see the following:\ \ Passkeys not ste up\ Google prompt, Authenticator, Phone nummber, and Backup codes should all have a green checkmark, meaning they're set up and good to go.\ \ This will suffice to keep others out of your account, but also make sure you don't get locked out with them!
