Make Online Payment for Motor Vehicle Excise Tax

Navigate to [https://www.watertown-ma.gov/](https://www.watertown-ma.gov/)

Click "Online Payments" on the home screen

Click "Pay Motor Vehicle Excise Tax"

Enter the bill number - This is located in the top right hand corner of your bill. If you cannot locate your bill, please call the Collectors office to obtain your bill number at 617-972-6410

Enter your license plate number

Click "Search Bill"

You will then see your bill information at the bottom of the screen - Under amount to pay you will see the option to pay a portion or pay in full. Choose accordingly and then you will be prompted to input your payment info. Once the transaction has been completed you will receive a receipt via email.
