Managing Packages via the Mobile App

In order to access the package management tools on your mobile app, you must meet the following criteria: 1. You must have an active staff account (with a mobile phone number) added to your Accushield Dashboard. 2. You must have the role "Community Admin" assigned to your staff account. 3. You must download the Accushield Mobile app to your phone. Managing incoming deliveries just got faster. We’ve brought smart package scanning directly to your smartphone, helping front-desk and concierge teams process deliveries in seconds while on the move. To get started, click **Package Management** from your Accushield mobile profile.

You will see a list of previously scanned packages. To add a new one, choose **Scan New Package** and allow access to your camera. Then, hover your camera over the package barcode and click the camera icon to take a photo. If a label is damaged or the scanner isn't working, you can choose Enter Manually and type in the barcode number.

The app automatically reads the recipient's name and details, matching them instantly against your staff and resident directories. However, you can tap the recipient’s name, or manually search for the correct recipient if not found via the automatic search. Next, select how you communicate this package delivery (text or email), select the package type and then the location where it can be picked up. An automated message will be generated, which can be edited as needed to communicate important information with the recipient. Once ready, click send.

The recipient will receive either a text message or email informing them they have a package ready for pick up.

When a package gets picked up, you can access your **Active Packages** log and click the **‘Pending’** button on the package log.

Managing Packages in the Dashboard

Navigate to [https://dashboard.accushield.com](https://dashboard.accushield.com/auth/login?returnUrl=%2Flanding) Click **Connect** & then choose **Package Management** from the dropdown.

Whenever you receive a new delivery, click the **Add Packages** option.

Enter in the location of where the staff or resident should pick up their package.

Next, search for and select the recipient you wish to notify. You will have the option to communicate with staff or residents via text and/or email. **Note**: A staff or resident must have at least an email address or a cell phone number available in their Accushield profile in order to appear in this list. In addition, staff must be opted into receiving Connect Message from Accushield.

You can use the "Search" function and the "Profiles" dropdown to filter your results.

Across from the person's name, click the "Package" dropdown and choose the type of package most similar.

Finally, either use the pre-built template for Package Delivery and send your message quickly, or customize and update your message as needed. The pre-built template uses dynamic tags that will automatically fill in. For example, the \[name\] tag will fill in with that staff / resident's name when sent. Press "Send" when ready.

Press "Send" again to confirm. Your package notification will then be sent to the staff or resident via your selected method.

You will then be redirected to the Package Management landing page, where you will see the newly added package at the top. Any previous packages added that have not been marked as collected will be listed below.

When a package has been picked up by the recipient, you can change the status by clicking "Pending"

And clicking "Confirm" The package will then be removed from your list view, however, you can always use the filters to review the package details. If you need to see who marked a package as collected, and the date it was collected on, export the package report.

If you want to opt-in a staff member or resident to Connect, so they can receive messages about packages and deliveries, click the "Accounts" tab.

Choose either "Resident" or "Staff" from the dropdown.

Locate the person you're wanting to opt-in and click on their name.

Click "Edit" to adjust their profile.

You may want to add an email address to the "Email" field and a phone number to the "Phone" fields, if those are empty.

To opt them in to receiving your messages, toggle on "SMS Messaging" to receive texts and "Email Messaging" to receive emails.

Click "Save" once done. That resident or staff member should now be visible and available to send package notification to moving forward.
