Managing Packages & Deliveries Using Accushield

Package Management streamlines how communities notify residents and staff when packages arrive. Designed to reduce front desk workload and improve communication, this feature allows Community Dashboard Users to send notifications via text or email directly from the dashboard, cutting down on clutter at the front desk and high traffic areas, and ensuring packages are never lost.

Click "Package Management"

Whenever you receive a new delivery, click the "Add Packages" option.

Enter in the location of where the staff or resident should pick up their package.

Next, search for and select the recipient you wish to notify. You will have the option to communicate with staff or residents via text and/or email. **Note**: A staff or resident must have at least an email address or a cell phone number available in their Accushield profile in order to appear in this list. In addition, staff must be opted into receiving Connect Message from Accushield.

You can use the "Search" function and the "Profiles" dropdown to filter your results.

Across from the person's name, click the "Package" dropdown and choose the type of package most similar.

Finally, either use the pre-built template for Package Delivery and send your message quickly, or customize and update your message as needed. The pre-built template uses dynamic tags that will automatically fill in. For example, the \[name\] tag will fill in with that staff / resident's name when sent. Press "Send" when ready.

Press "Send" again to confirm. Your package notification will then be sent to the staff or resident via your selected method.

You will then be redirected to the Package Management landing page, where you will see the newly added package at the top. Any previous packages added that have not been marked as collected will be listed below.

When a package has been picked up by the recipient, you can change the status by clicking "Pending"

And clicking "Confirm" The package will then be removed from your list view, however, you can always use the filters to review the package details. If you need to see who marked a package as collected, and the date it was collected on, export the package report.

If you want to opt-in a staff member or resident to Connect, so they can receive messages about packages and deliveries, click the "Accounts" tab.

Choose either "Resident" or "Staff" from the dropdown.

Locate the person you're wanting to opt-in and click on their name.

Click "Edit" to adjust their profile.

You may want to add an email address to the "Email" field and a phone number to the "Phone" fields, if those are empty.

To opt them in to receiving your messages, toggle on "SMS Messaging" to receive texts and "Email Messaging" to receive emails.

Click "Save" once done. That resident or staff member should now be visible and available to send package notification to moving forward.
