Performing a Mass Cancellation of Runs

There are certain scenarios when some of the Runs need to be canceled. One of the examples is when buses do not need to go to a particular school because it is closed. In this case the cancellation could be done in two ways on Dispatch screen: cancel the entire Route or cancel certain Runs in bulk.

In case when the Route needs to be performed and only one Run needs to be cancelled, Cancel Runs feature can be used. To cancel a Run, click on Frequently Used -> Cancel Runs.

Click on the left arrow, and the run will be removed. The right side has the same filters as left side and can be used to filter the list by Customer, School, Run Name, or Dispatch.

Another example when the Run that is being cancelled is the last one within a Route. In this case, the system makes the following changes: 1. Recalculates Yard Return time to reflect new drive time between the new last stop and Yard Return. 2. Recalculates End Time = Yard Return Time + Walk Time + Post-trip Time. 3. Adds a Note to indicate who cancelled what run and at what time.

If the Run that is being cancelled is the only one within a Route, the system cancels the entire Route (both driving and monitor assignments if one is present). In the example below, Route 'TECEC 1' has only one Run 'TECEC 1 MD' that was cancelled:

As a result, the system cancelled Route 'TECEC 1':
