Menlo College Students Requesting Summer Housing Through FMX

Menlo College's Conference Services office is managing all SUMMER HOUSING on campus this year. This means if you would like to reserve housing on campus for any length of time this summer, you will do so through our online reservation system, FMX. Follow the instructions below step-by-step to apply for summer housing.

**See the [Internship Housing](https://www.menlo.edu/about/summer-internship-housing/) page on our website for all the details and pricing for:** **Arrillaga Single Occupancy** (gender-neutral building, male and female bathrooms) **Arrillaga Double** (choose your own roommate or you will be paired with someone) **Howard Single** (suites and bathrooms separated by gender) **Howard Double** (suites and bathrooms separated by gender, choose your own roommate or you will be paired with someone) **El Camino Single** (gender-neutral wing and bathrooms) We also have one additional option **ONLY FOR MENLO COLLEGE STUDENTS:** ***Kratt 3rd Floor Triples*** (gender-neutral floor and bathrooms, choose your two roommates or you will be assigned two Menlo roommates) - $4,500 for three people, $1,500 each for 8 weeks or more, throughout the summer. All students employed as student workers and working at least 20 hours per week throughout the summer receive a $750 discount on their choice of housing for 8 weeks or more. Simply e-mail proof of your 20 hr/week+ on-campus position to [conferences@menlo.edu](mailto:conferences@menlo.edu). \ Students requesting a short-term stay of less than 8 weeks will be considered on a space-available basis. The minimum stay is 14 days and the cost will be $30 per day. Building will be determined according to space available at that time. A reservation in FMX AND a $250 deposit are required to secure your housing. **Because all these options except for Kratt are open to the public, some options will sell out quickly. If you would prefer one room type or another, please DO NOT DELAY in securing your reservation and paying your deposit.** Payments for summer housing can be made by credit card or digital check/ACH directly in FMX or you may pay by wire - you will find instructions on your invoice. You will use your Menlo College e-mail. Your temporary password is Menlo2025, but you will changed it once you log in for the first time. Click "Log in" **If you already had an FMX account prior to Feburary 1, 2025, use your current password.**
Submitting your Summer Housing Application

To submit your housing reservation, click "New request"

Type your FULL first and last name in the "Event name" field. **If you had an FMX account prior to February 1, select "Housing - Internship Housing" as your "Request Type."**

In the "Building" dropdown, click ONLY "*Summer Housing*".

Proceed to the "Resources" box. Select ONE choice of housing from the bottom of the list. Also select any or all of the items with a \**star.*\*

Enter in quantities for anything that requires a quantity. Enter "1" for any housing option, but if you purchase Meal Packs, you may want to purchase multiple.

In the "Starts" field, click on your Move-In Date. You may choose anything between May 23 and July 26, 2025.

Click the "All day" field.

Proceed to the "Resident Information" section and complete all the fields carefully and completely.

Copy your "Start date" from above into the "What is your Move-In Date? field.

If you will stay on campus between spring move-out (prior to Commencement) and your Move-In Date, OR between Move-Out Date and fall semester, we can accommodate - just click YES in the appropriate box. Additional information will be communicated in the coming months. If you will not require housing at that time, click No.

Click or type your desired Move-Out Date in the appropriate field.

Complete the Emergency Contact Information specifically for this summer.

Complete the Roommate Request information if you selected a double-occupancy room. You may type in specific people (just make sure they also put you down!) or you may also indicate that you would like to live with another Menlo student or a non-Menlo intern.

We will either send you an invoice for the $250 deposit now, and second for the first 50% payment in May and a third for the remainder in June; or we can send you the full invoice now, if you want to pay the whole amount upfront. Click your choice.

When you are finished, read the text under Registration Requirements so that you are fully informed. Then click "Submit."
Estimates, Invoices, and Payment

If you see "Success!" and a message that your request has been created, you have submitted your application successfully. Our team will endeavor to send you an invoice for the amount you requested within 48 hours, but please be patient as it may take up to 7 days. You do not need to reach out to us for confirmation if you see the request in your FMX request and it has not been 7 days. You'll see the status of your request under the heading "Status." **"Pending estimate" -** our staff will send you an estimate and invoice within 7 days of your request

**"Pending invoice" -** our staff has created your estimate, but not yet sent the invoice. It's coming shortly!

To see the full estimate for your reservation, click on the "Name" under Schedule Requests.

Paying an Invoice

**"Pending payment" -** Your invoice has been created. You have until the due date on the invoice to make your payment.

To make a payment, click "Invoices"

Click into your invoice by clicking the "Title"

Here you can see the full details of your invoice. Note the instructions and links to pay by **Wire Transfer** or **Digital Check / ACH** here as well.

Scroll down to see all the details

Click "Pay Online" to pay by credit or bank card.

Click the "Remaining balance amount" field or type the amount you will pay into the field.

Click "Continue to Stripe" to finish your payment.
