Connect with a Mentor

Navigate to [You2Mentor](https://app-y2m-app-stg.azurewebsites.net/dashboard)and Login

Click the **Find Mentors** field and start typing to search for mentors.

You can also navigate to the **Mentors** tab and use the **search field** there instead of the global search field.

You can **Search mentors by name, skills, education or industry**

Or, you can view the **recommended mentors** that you're matched to based on your skills.

For example, I want to search for mentors that can help me with **problem solving**. So, I type **problem solving** in the **search bar** and click [[enter ]]to search.

The search revealed **two** potential mentors whose **skills** align with the **search** terms.

To view the mentor's full profile, click **View Profile**

You can scroll down to the **bottom** of the **Mentor profile** to view **Testimonials** from other mentees.

If you feel like this mentor is a good match, click **Request Mentorship** to connect with them.

Type your mentorship request **message** and click **Send Request**

Your request has been sent successfully! 🎉
For the purpose of this guide, we will switch accounts to show the different notifications the mentor / mentee recieves. In the next few steps, we are logged in as the **mentor**, Marella Morad.

Click on the **Notification icon** to view any new notifications

Click on the **notification message** to **view more details**.

If you wish to view more details about the mentee requesting mentorship, click **View Profile**

Otherwise, you can click **Accept** to **connect** with the mentee or **Reject** to **decline** their request.

Upon accepting, you'll see a **Request accepted successfully** message
In the next few steps, we are logged in as the **mentee**, Sarah Smith after the **mentor**, Marella, has **accepted** her mentorship request.

Click on the **Notification icon** to view any new notifications

Click on the **notification message** to **view more details**.
Chat with a Mentor

Now that you are **connected** with a mentor, you can click **Message** to start a chat with this mentor.

Click **New Chat**

**Select** the **user** you want to **chat** with

Type a **message** and click on the **send icon** to send it

Your message has been successfully sent! 🎉 and the **mentor** will be **notified** of the new message/s.
In the next few steps, we are logged in as the **mentor**, Marella after the **mentee**, Sarah, has **sent a message**.

Click on the **Chat icon** to view any **unread messages** (indicated by the blue dot on the chat icon)

The chat with **unread** messages will be **bolded**. Click on the **chat** to **read and respond** to the message

**Type** your **response** and click the **Send icon** to send it to the mentee.
Give Feedback to a Mentor

Navigate to [You2Mentor](https://app-y2m-app-stg.azurewebsites.net/dashboard)

Click **Mentors**

Click **View Profile** under the Mentor you wish to give feedback to.

Click **Give Feedback**

Fill in the **Rating form** and click **Submit Feedback**

After submitting your feedback, you can view it in the **Testimonials** section be clicking on the **View Feedback** button.

Your feedback has been submitted successfully! 🎉 and is now visible to **anyone** who views this mentor's profile.
