Click "Sign In"

Enter your AU email credentials and continue.

Click "Student Self Service"

Click "Banner"

Select "Student Services"

Click "Registration"

Click "Add or Drop Classes"
Prepare for Registration

Before registering for classes, check your account for any holds and view your overall registration status by clicking "Prepare for Registration".

Select the appropriate Term in the drop down menu, then click "Continue".

View your Registration Status. This example shows a a status that is ready to register for classes, with no holds on their account.

If your account DOES have a hold on it, it will appear in the registration status and you will not be able to register for classes until it is resolved. **A common hold is for "Financial Responsibility". This will require you to navigate to the Financial Responsibility Form and accept it before registering.**
Accepting Financial Responsibility and Removing Hold

To accept the Financial Responsibility and remove the corresponding hold, navigate to the "Financial Responsibility Form" by first clicking the 4-square menu.

Click "Banner"

Click "Student Services"

Click "Financial Responsibility Form"

View the Financial Responsibility Form and click "Agree".

View notification that the agreement was submitted, click "Ok" to remove notification.
Note: if the hold still seems to be in place after accepting the financial responsibility and won't allow you to register, please refresh the page and try again. Register for Classes

When you are ready to "Register for Classes", click on the option in the Registration menu.

Select the correct Term in the drop down and click "Continue".
***NOTE FOR UNDERGRADUATES*: The first time you register for each semester or term, you will be prompted to enter an Alternate PIN before you are permitted to continue registering. This 6 digit PIN is given to you by your advisor after you have met with them.**

Dismiss the notification that appears by clicking "Ok".

Search for classes in the "Find Classes" tab. Enter or select the desired subject in the subject drop down

Click "Search"

Applicable courses will appear in a listed format. Click the "Add" button to add them to the Summary window below. Or, to conduct another search, click "Search Again".

Alternately, if you know the specific CRNs (course numbers) of your desired courses, you can enter them in the "Enter CRNs" tab. Choose to "+Add Another CRN" to add multiple CRNs at one time.

Enter additional CRNs and click "Add to Summary".

Adding a course with a CRN or selecting "Add" when using Find Classes will bring it to the Summary window and the status will be set to "Pending". Click "Submit" in the bottom of the Summary window.

The status of the course will change to "Registered".
Errors and Removing a Course

Any errors after submitting your registration will appear in the upper right corner. Click "Ok" to dismiss.

To remove a registration from the Summary window, make sure "Remove" is selected in the "Action" drop down menu, and then click "Submit".

The Summary window will clear.
Waitlisting a Course

If a class status is showing as "Full" but there are still waitlist seats available, click "Add".

The course will get added to the Summary window. Click the drop down menu in the Action column, and select "Wait Listed". Click "Submit".

The course Status will change to "Waitlisted".
How to Find Course Details

To view details about the course (prerequisites, restrictions, instructor, additional fees, etc.) select the title of the course.

Select a category on the right hand menu.
Note: In the "Instructor/Meeting Times" tab, check the highlighted dates of the course to determine if the course is full-term, A-Block (first 7 weeks of term), or B-block (last 8 weeks of term).
Note: it is recommended that you check the "Fees" category of the course details to be aware of any additional fees for the course. Example: registering for a music lesson has an additional $300 fee.

Click "Close" to remove the Course Details window and return to the registration screen.
Viewing Finalized Registration

After registering for all of your desired courses, click the "Schedule and Options" tab to view them.

View the summary of registered courses as well as your schedule in calendar form.

No further action is needed. Your registration is complete!
