Tip! Please note that purchasing any tools, materials, or external courses is *not required* to complete the pre-work labs. All necessary resources will be provided as part of the course. You should not spend any money on additional courses, software, or tools for this pre-work. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out for assistance before making any purchases.

Self-enrolling into a NetAcad Pre-Work Course

1. Navigate to the self-enrollment links you have received for the pre-work course(s)

Note! The course name will be the name of the actual course you are enrolling in.

Click "Get Started"

How to register for a course.

Click "Sign up"

Tip! Supply your own information.

Click this dropdown.

Click "Continue"

Fill in your personal: "First name", "Last name", "Email".

Click the "Password" field. Enter a secure password. - At least 8 characters - A lowercase letter - An uppercase letter - A number - At least one special character - Password shouldn't match your Email ID and should be case-sensitive - Your password cannot be any of your last 3 passwords

Click the "Confirm password" field. Retype the same password from step 9.

Click the "Create account" button.

Review Cisco licensing and communications

**REQUIRED:** Click the box next to "I have read and agreed to the terms & conditions." This is required.

**OPTIONAL:** Click the box next to [[I would like to receive communications and updates about the program, including information about functionality and learning offerings from Cisco Networking Academy. I understand I can unsubscribe at any time.]]

Click "Accept & Continue"

Confirmation email from Networking Academy

Note! The course name will be the name of the actual course you are enrolled in.

NetAcad Badge Acquisiton

Alert! Alert! In order to receive a badge you must successfully complete the course. This include any surveys located throughout the course.

How to claim your Badge

Click "My Learning"

Under "Latest Achievements", locate the course and click "Claim Badge"

You will be brought to Credly at https://www.credly.com/

Creating a Credly account

Sign into your existing account or click "Create Account" to sign up with the email address used in your Skills for All Account

Click the badge you want to accept and click "Accept Badge"

Setting up Auto Accept for all badges

Select you badge settings and click "Save Settings"

Download Certificate and Upload to the pre-work submission Portal

Tip!\ When submitting your screenshot of the badge or certificate please make sure that the screenshot includes your name and date you earned the badge.

Once you accepted a badge, you’ll see a screen like below. Please click on the share button

If you would like to promote your badge on your LinkedIn or portfolio you can do that from the share menu. Click on Download Certificate to get a PDF copy of your earned badge/certification.

Your certificate course name will vary depending on what course was completed.

Congratulations! Finally, upload the certificates for the completed courses to the\ pre-work submission portal.

Alert! If you have previously selected "Auto Accept" in your badge settings, you will not need to manually accept your badge(s). Auto Select means all future badges issued by Cisco are accepted and made public. To view or change this settings, please go to "Organizations" under Settings".
