Welcome back to NoteSync Plus.

Click "Visits"

Then select "New Visit"

Select the "Dr Bob Leighton" option.

Click the "Search Patient" field.

After confirming the patient does not exist in NoteSync, you can now Create a patient. Complete the following...

Add thier First Name, Last Name and Unique Identifier Number.
Note: Most practices utilize the unique identifier located inside their EHR. If you do not have a unique identifier, you can use the patient's first initial, last initial, and date of birth.

Once all fields are complete , click "Create" You will see a pop-up confirming the patient has been successfully added.

Next, select "Stage" to open your first session.
Here at NoteSync Plus "STAGE" is a term we use to describe your visits being prepared to begin a live session. This is something that can be done for all of your appointments the morning of. This will allow for a smooth transition for all collaborators .

Once your appointment has been staged you can choose from the following options

You can begin to Record Audio, return back to your visits list, delete the staged visit, or move on to stage another visit.

For this demonstration we will select "Record Audio"

Choosing this option will direct you to your 'Visit Recording Room'

In Step 1 You will confirm your audio preferences.

In Step 2 you will be able select WHAT you will be recording. Here you have 2 options. The first option is 'Dictation". This option will be used if the provider wants to submit a dictated summary of the visit OR it can be used by a Medical assistant who may be adding notes or chief complaints prior to the providers session.

The second option is "Dr. - Patient" option. This is the most common selection and would be used to record a visit with both the patient AND the provider.

If all the previous selections are correct, you can press 'START' to begin your session. Starting the session will begin the timer

Pause , would be used when you are needing to pause recording session and would like the session to remain closed for other collaborators. This option can be used if your are completing the recording all from one device.

'Pause and Exit' woud be used when you are passing the session to a collaborator. For example: A medical assistant may begin the session with a chief complaint and a description of the appointment type and then PAUSE and EXIT. When the provider returns, they would begin recording when the Medical Assistant left off. This is helpful when collaborators are recording from separate devices

Click "Visit Status: Stopped"

Congratulations! You have successfully completed your first session. Now lets review our notes and billing codes. We will see you there!
