NotebookLM - Sharing a Notebook (or Chat only)

This guide provides essential information on how to effectively share a Notebook using NotebookLM, specifically tailored for users with @adelphi.edu accounts. It outlines the sharing process, including adjusting access levels and sending welcome notes, ensuring users can manage collaboration efficiently. Additionally, it highlights the option to preview shared content, enhancing user experience. NotebookLM can only be shared with @adelphi.edu accounts at this time, not with the student domain @mail.adelphi.edu

The "Share" icon opens the sharing menu when clicked.

You can add people and groups by searching for them by name or email:

Access levels can be adjusted from "Viewer" to "Editor" and can be removed using this menu.

If you would like to send a "Welcome Note" when sharing access to the Notebook or Chat, you can choose to do so by toggling on this button.

You can select whether viewers have access to the "Full notebook" including Studio outputs or the "Chat only"

You can preview what the Chat only share looks like by clicking on this button.

If you choose to "Copy link" and paste the link elsewhere, like into an email, access may still be requested by the recipient.

You can send access directly to the recipient using this "Send" button.
