OTP login setup on New customer accounts with Shopify app Simplify My Login

For this instruction manual we are taking shop -[mystorename-9696.myshopify.com](https://mystorename-9696.myshopify.com) \ Please replace with your Shopify store wherever applicable.\ \ Also please install Shopify app Simplify My Login (<https://apps.shopify.com/login-using-otp>) before proceeding in case you haven't already

Goto store admin[https://mystorename-9696.myshopify.com/admin](https://mystorename-9696.myshopify.com) \ \ (Remember to update this Shopify store with your Shopify store URL)

Click "Settings"

Click "Customer accounts"

Select "Customers accounts" if not already selected

Click "Manage" (next to Authentication)

Click "Manage providers"

Click "Connect to provider"

Enter "SimplifyMyLogin" in the "Identity provider name" field.

Select the "Custom or other" option in Provider.

**In a new tab**, navigate to <https://admin.shopify.com/store/mystorename-9696> \ \ (Remember to update this Shopify store with your Shopify store URL)

Click "Simplify my login" under Apps \ \ (Please install it from <https://apps.shopify.com/login-using-otp> if not already installed)

Click "New Customer Accounts" tab

Click "Generate Credentials"

Copy following 4 fields - - Client Id - Client secret - discovery endpoint - post sign out redirect url

Paste all 4 fields n "Connect to Identity provider" screen in Step9 - Client Id - Client secret - discovery endpoint - post sign out redirect url

Click "Save"

Click "Activate"

Congratulations!!! Your setup is now complete.\ Let's test a sample login flow below

In a new tab, navigate to your Shopify store <https://mystorename-9696.myshopify.com/> \ \ (Remember to update this Shopify store with your Shopify store URL)

Click Login icon.

You will now land onto Simplify My Login provided Login screen. \ Here you can chose which login method to login with. These can be configured from App settings page.

Let's assume you want to login with Phone number and OTP\ Enter your "Phone number".

Click "Get OTP on SMS"

Enter your OTP received on your number

Click Login button after entering email id

You will land on the "Customer accounts" orders page as expected
