One Time Payments from Multiple Costing Sources (Worktags)

**This guide is for Department Admins, Faculty Partners, Managers, and Staff Partners** who need to initiate One Time Payments from multiple Worktags.

From the employee's Summary screen: Actions > Compensation > Request One-Time Payment

Enter an Effective Date using the first day of a pay period (either the 10th or 25th of the month)

When the OTP Summary opens, click the pencil icon on the right

Select a Reason that the payment is being made. In this example, a OTP is being issued for a Graduate Student so the correct selection is: One-Time Payment > Other Then, Other > Student One-Time Payment Click Add when ready to load the first costing allocation

Select the proper One-Time Payment Plan. For this example, our GA will be issued a Student Health Subsidy.

Fill out the following fields: Amount, Additional Information, Cost Center, and Additional Worktags In Additional Information, please leave a comment with why that specific amount is coming from the associated worktag. (Please note that amounts are entered rather than a percentage.)

Verify everything is correct with the first funding source, then click anywhere outside of the active field. This will prompt Workday to show a condensed snip of what was just entered. Verify that the Total Amount Requested in the Summary above is reflective of the amount entered so far. This will be the final amount paid to the employee. To add a second funding source, click "Add"

Here you will prompted to fill in the same fields as the first time, but can input a different Cost Center and Worktag. Again, please leave a comment with why that specific amount is coming from the associated worktag. When finished, click anywhere outside of the active field to collapse it.

You can add as many amounts and costing sources to the OTP as needed. Once all worktags are inputted, verify that the Total Amount Requested is correct, leave a comment for the next approver then click Submit. It will now be routed through the business process for approval.
